Bouzouki Da Gamba
 Here
is Nic's version of a bowed lap instrument. For lack of
any other name, Nic named it Bouzouki Da Gamba. It has
four nylon strings and is tuned ADad (from low to high).
The box is made of walnut with a mahogany neck, red
cedar top and radiused purpleheart fretboard. It also
has celluloid binding and friction tuners
From
Nic: Here are some tunes I have arranged and
recorded all by myself on my home computer thanks to the
miracle of multitracking. You will hear hammered
dulcimer, lap dulcimer, bowed dulcimer, bouzouki da
gamba and bowed psaltery. All these instruments are also
built by me. These tunes are recorded in stereo
MP3. They aren't meant as samples to sell my CD or
anything, so they aren't truncated. They are full
recordings for your enjoyment. If you have a slow
connection, I apologize. To the best of my
knowledge, these tunes are in the public domain. My
arrangements, however, aren't, so if you steal any of
them and as a result you become rich, I want a Buick.
